BREAKING: Dallas Cowboys mentioned in game-changing NFL trade proposal for 4-time All-Pro. nhathung

The Dallas Cowboys have not always been the most proactive when it comes to building their team. Nevertheless, they have executed a major trade before, notably acquiring Amari Cooper from the Raiders in 2018. According to Sporting News, it might be time for them to consider another significant move to re-enter the NFC East competition.

The proposed deal suggests the Cowboys trade their No. 76 overall pick in the third round of this year’s NFL Draft, along with a 2026 third-round pick to the San Francisco 49ers for the renowned running back Christian McCaffrey. McCaffrey, who played only four games last season due to Achilles tendonitis and a torn PCL, remains one of the most formidable offensive talents in the NFL when healthy.

In 2023, he had an outstanding season with San Francisco, amassing 1,459 yards and 14 touchdowns on 272 carries, and adding 67 receptions for 564 yards and seven additional touchdowns. His performance earned him his fourth All-Pro recognition, third Pro Bowl selection, and the NFL Offensive Player of the Year award. However, this potential trade depends on several factors, primarily whether the 49ers are willing to part with their top offensive player.

Given their recent roster adjustments, it is not entirely unthinkable that McCaffrey might be available. Indeed, San Francisco 49ers On SI has reported that McCaffrey could be traded, possibly as late as midseason by the NFL Trade Deadline. For the Cowboys, this move is logical to address their urgent need for a game-changer at the running back position.

Nonetheless, there are several concerns from Dallas’s perspective. Primarily, they are preoccupied with resolving the future of their own star, Micah Parsons, who has yet to sign an extension and has been the subject of trade rumors. Additionally, they have a pending negotiation with cornerback DaRon Bland.
