The NFL’s official free agency period is nearing its third week, yet former Green Bay Packers standout quarterback Aaron Rodgers remains undecided about his plans for the 2025 season. His current choices seem to be either signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers or retiring.

Although there’s a slim possibility that another team might show interest in the four-time MVP, there has been no indication of that happening. Rodgers reportedly had a meeting with the Steelers recently, during which head coach Mike Tomlin shared a positive detail.

“It’s been noted that he spent a day with us, and it was quite a productive day,” Tomlin mentioned. “We’ve known of each other for a while, so it was great to spend more personal time together, but this is free agency. It is a process, and I don’t have anything more significant to share beyond that,” he added.

Tomlin noted that the team is exploring all possibilities for the quarterback role and that no internal deadline has been set for Rodgers’ decision. “Not that I’m aware of,” he stated. “I’m not sure we’ve addressed it from a deadline standpoint. Certainly, you’d prefer to have clarity, but deadlines don’t always resolve the situation.”

With Russell Wilson now heading to the Tri-state area to join the New York Giants, Pittsburgh is in dire need of a capable starting quarterback. Mason Rudolph, who recorded 1,530 yards, nine touchdowns, and nine interceptions over eight games last season with the Tennessee Titans, is currently projected to lead the team under center.
