Tyreek Hill reacts to trade rumors and he’s doing very little to confirm he will be back with the Miami Dolphins in 2025.

There are two things just about every NFL fan knows about Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill.

  1. The dude is fast.
  2. He doesn’t shy away from riling people up on social media or when talking to reporters.

Not saying he’s the stereotypical diva wide receiver. But he certainly likes some drama. On Sunday, he reminded everyone of it by reacting to rising speculation about a potential trade that would lead to him playing elsewhere in the 2025 NFL season.

Hill, who opened the door to the trade conversation when he told the media he was done with the Dolphins at the end of the season, reacted on X to posts suggesting he’s one of the top trade candidates in the league.

Everything started when salary cap analyst and Over the Cap founder Jason Fitzgerald replied to a question on the social media platform: Who’s the biggest draft night trade candidate? Fitzgerald responded it was “probably” Hill.

That got people talking and Hill reacted to three posts discussing the idea. He shared Fitzgerald’s post with the peace sign emoji, which has become a staple for Hill on the field and on his posts. He followed it up with another post with the same emoji later in the day.

Earlier in the day, he used a smile emoji to share another post asking Dolphins fans if they would be open to trading him. The responses to the post were unsurprisingly varied.

Hill has been dominant for the Dolphins during his three years on the team, logging two seasons of over 1,700 receiving yards. In 2024, his production was down at 959 but it was a down year for the entire offense as Tua Tagovailoa missed five games.

The Dolphins are better with Hill than they are without him. But as is often the case in the NFL, there are more factors at play. Hill is due $27.75 million in 2025 and a trade could open the door for some financial maneuvering for the front office. He’s 31 years old. If the star wide receiver doesn’t want to be in Miami, perhaps they’ll listen to the right offer.

And based on his own social media activity, it doesn’t sound like Hill is interested in avoiding a trade. In fact, he sounds like he’s rooting for it.
