Rumors swirl in the NFL as the Ravens’ Kyle Hamilton receives encouraging updates regarding his ankle issue following evaluations. hh

Baltimore Ravens’ safety Kyle Hamilton experienced a sprained ankle during Thursday’s clash with the Cincinnati Bengals, though head coach John Harbaugh assured reporters post-game that it’s not deemed serious.

Report: Tests Reveal Good News on Kyle Hamilton's Ankle

On Friday, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport shared that Baltimore received “excellent news for the future” after tests on Hamilton’s ankle yielded results “as positive as could be expected.” Hamilton exited the home game against the Bengals in the second quarter due to the right ankle injury, following which he underwent X-rays, according to the Amazon Prime broadcast.

The Ravens eventually declared him out for the rest of the game in the second half. Now in his third NFL season, Hamilton, who was a standout at Notre Dame and earned a first-team All-Pro nod last year, began Thursday’s match with 67 tackles (48 solo), five quarterback hits, two sacks, and five pass deflections across nine starts.

It appears that Hamilton sustained a non-contact injury while covering a pass. He halted his movement to position himself to pursue running back Chase Brown, who was poised to catch a throw from quarterback Joe Burrow.

Hamilton fell and remained on the field before rising and limping to the sideline. He headed to the blue medical tent for further assessment before proceeding to the locker room.

He later returned to the sideline without his gear. Losing Hamilton was a significant setback for Baltimore, which notably conceded a 67-yard touchdown to Ja’Marr Chase early in the third quarter without their star safety on the field.
