The big one that didn’t happen at Talladega last week came at the start of the final stage in the NASCAR Texas race when Bubba Wallace kickstarted the big wreck after he slid up into the wall, then came down in front of Joey Logano, causing Wallace to spin and starting a massive wreck.
It caused the seventh caution on lap 172 and also involved Noah Gragson, A.J. Allmendinger, Alex Bowman and Chad Finchum.
Wallace had run in the top 10 for most of the race. He was able to return after the caution, but returned to the pits soon after the restart.
William Byron led through the crash and after restart, but headed for pit road a few laps later.
