EXPLOSIVE NASCAR NEWS! Tony Stewart CAUTIONS Kyle Larson of Looming Trouble, Identifying His “Rightful Successor” as NASCAR’s Top Gun! baoboi

In a jaw-dropping interview that has NASCAR fans buzzing, three-time Cup Series champion and motorsports icon Tony Stewart has issued a rare and stark warning to Kyle Larson—while also naming the young driver he believes is the future face of the sport. Stewart’s words have ignited fierce debate across the racing world, as the veteran driver and team owner appears to signal a potential power shift at the top of NASCAR’s talent hierarchy.

Stewart Speaks Out

During an appearance on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio this week, Stewart didn’t hold back. He praised Kyle Larson’s incredible talent and his versatility on dirt and asphalt, but warned that a new wave of drivers is coming—hungry, fearless, and ready to dethrone the current kings of the track.

“Larson is phenomenal, no question,” Stewart said. “But even the best have to keep evolving. There’s a kid out there right now who’s not just chasing Kyle—he’s preparing to beat him. And I think he’s the rightful successor to that top spot.”

The comment instantly lit up social media. Who is Stewart referring to?

The Chosen One: Christopher Bell

It didn’t take long for Stewart to clarify. The driver he sees as NASCAR’s next “Top Gun”? None other than Christopher Bell.

“Christopher Bell reminds me of a young Jeff Gordon—calculated, fast, and fearless,” Stewart said. “He’s been knocking on the door, and I believe it’s only a matter of time before he dominates the sport. Larson better watch his mirrors, because Bell is closing in fast.”

Bell, currently driving the No. 20 Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing, has already made a major impact in the Cup Series, including multiple playoff runs and victories in clutch situations. But being dubbed “Larson’s successor” by someone like Tony Stewart puts a whole new spotlight on the 29-year-old Oklahoma native.

Larson’s Legacy at Stake?

Kyle Larson has enjoyed a dominant run since his return to NASCAR in 2021, including winning the Cup Series championship in his first year with Hendrick Motorsports. Known for his ability to win on virtually any surface—whether it’s a half-mile dirt track or a high-speed superspeedway—Larson has often been described as a generational talent.

But Stewart’s comments raise the question: Is Larson becoming too comfortable at the top?

“Sometimes the most dangerous place to be is in front,” Stewart continued. “Everyone is chasing you, studying your every move, waiting for one slip. Bell’s got the drive and the brains to capitalize on that.”

Reactions from the Paddock

The racing world responded immediately. Joe Gibbs Racing’s senior officials were quick to back Stewart’s remarks, calling Bell “an elite competitor” and praising his growth over the last two seasons. Meanwhile, Larson himself took the comments in stride.

“I respect Tony a lot,” Larson said after qualifying at Dover. “If he sees something in Bell, that’s great. I’m not looking over my shoulder, though—I’m focused on staying ahead.”

Still, the tension is undeniable. With Bell currently having a strong 2025 season and Larson facing stiff competition week after week, fans and analysts are starting to ask: Are we witnessing the beginning of a new rivalry?

A Rivalry in the Making?

NASCAR thrives on rivalries—Earnhardt vs. Gordon, Johnson vs. Kenseth, and now perhaps Larson vs. Bell. Both drivers are relatively quiet off the track, but fierce on it. With playoff positions tightening and a new generation of talent rising, the battle between Larson and Bell could define the next era of NASCAR.

The Final Word

Tony Stewart’s warning may not be a jab—it might just be the jolt the sport needs. With ratings climbing and younger fans tuning in, NASCAR’s future looks bright. And if Stewart is right, Christopher Bell might soon be leading that charge, with Kyle Larson in his crosshairs.

Buckle up—because this new chapter in NASCAR is about to hit full throttle.
