The Los Angeles Dodgers are finally being rewarded with some positive injury news regarding their starting pitching. Franchise icon Clayton Kershaw has spent months rehabbing his toe injury.

In his absence, star pitchers like Blake Snell, Tyler Glasnow , and Michael Kopech have dealt with injuries of their own.

Thankfully for the Dodgers, Kershaw has finished his rehab with a multitude of different Dodgers affiliates and is set to return from the 60-day Injured List when he is able.

Kershaw completed what is expected to be his last rehab outing on Sunday, putting him on track to make his 2025 MLB debut against longtime rival Los Angeles Angels this Sunday at Dodger Stadium in MLB’s “rivalry weekend”.

The return of Kershaw could not come at a better time, considering the number of injuries the Dodgers’ pitching staff has faced. In 15 innings across the minors this season, Kershaw has given up six earned runs and struck out 12 batters.

It’s unclear how long Kershaw will spend time in the Dodgers rotation as they start to get some of their stronger arms back, but the future Hall of Famer is attempting to reach the 3,000 strikeout mark, and is just over 30 strikeouts away from doing so.

The three-time CY Young award winner is trying to do something unprecedented in the game of baseball by starting and finishing their career with the same team. The 37-year-old southpaw is in the midst of his 18th season with the club and has made it clear he wants to retire a Dodger.

The Dodgers will welcome Kershaw with open arms and hope he can be a productive piece of their rotation, like he has always been.
