The 2025 NFL season schedule for the Dallas Cowboys, known affectionately as America’s team, has been released. They will kick off the season on September 4th with a high-stakes rivalry match against the reigning Super Bowl champions, the Philadelphia Eagles.
This game will be broadcast on NBC and streamed on Peacock live from Lincoln Financial Field. Fast forward twelve weeks, and the Cowboys will clash with the Kansas City Chiefs in the traditional Thanksgiving Day matchup. Dallas has been a fixture on Thanksgiving since 1966, with the exceptions of 1975 and 1977 when the NFL tried different teams on the holiday.
This year, the Cowboys will host Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and the Chiefs in Arlington, Texas, marking Kansas City’s first Thanksgiving appearance since 2006. The Chiefs hold a 5-5 record on Thanksgiving, while Dallas stands at 34-22-1. This game will also be Mahomes’ first start at AT&T Stadium, with the action available on CBS and Paramount Plus.
After reaching the playoffs for three consecutive years, the Cowboys fell short last season with a 7-10 record, prompting owner Jerry Jones to make some adjustments, including bringing in wide receiver George Pickens from the Steelers. This season will also see Brian Schottenheimer taking the helm as head coach, following the end of Mike McCarthy’s five-year stint in January.
