Selene Carter had run her family-owned diner, Carter’s Table, for more than two decades. By morning, the diner was packed. Locals came in droves, followed by foodies, sports fans, and news reporters. Stroud’s post had breathed new life into the place. In less than a week, Selene made enough to pay off her overdue rent and hire back two longtime staff members.
The highlight came when CJ returned days later, this time bringing his offensive linemen and ordering “The Carter Special,” now named in his honor.
