BREAKING NEWS: Lions Fan Who Got in Shouting Match with Matt LaFleur Gets Severe Punishment from Team..- VC

The Green Bay Packers have turned the page on the Detroit Lions following their 34-31 loss to their division rivals last Thursday night. They have now turned their focus to this upcoming Sunday night game when they will take on the Seattle Seahawks on the road in an effort to improve their standing in the NFL Playoffs picture.

It seems, however, that the Lions were a little slow to end the chapter of their season that included their second win of the year over the Packers.

As many fans may recall, Green Bay head coach Matt LaFleur was involved in a verbal altercation with a fan down on the sidelines prior to kickoff in Detroit. Now, almost a week later, the punishment the Lions levied on that fan came to light.

The fan, Fahad Yousif, was ejected from the game. “He was talking junk to our players, giving them the throat-slash sign. You’re trying to de-escalate it, and then he gets in my face. So I thought it was pretty unsportsmanlike,” LaFleur said after the game.

“I’ve been on many fields, and usually, they police that much better. I thought it was an arrogant fan who wanted to get in on part of the action. I would like to see security or something, step in there and get him out of there, because he shouldn’t be doing that.”

Apparently, the Lions agree, and while the fan has not been permanently banned from Ford Field, he is no longer a season ticket holder:

As can be seen in the email screenshot posted above, Detroit informed Yousif that they are revoking his season tickets and providing him with a reimbursement for the remaining home games. Furthermore, he will not be able to buy season tickets again as his right to do so has been suspended indefinitely.

While this punishment will certainly not keep him from attending Lions games, it will ensure that he does not get to partake in on-field activities meant for season ticket holders anymore, thus limiting his contact with opposing players and coaches.
