PITTSBURGH — Three key Pittsburgh Steelers starters remained sidelined on Thursday as the team works up to facing the Philadelphia Eagles. Star wide receiver George Pickens missed practice for the second straight day. He is not expected to play against the Eagles and could miss more time than just that game with a grade 2 hamstring strain.
Defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi was sidelined with a groin injury. He suffered that on Sunday against the Cleveland Browns and did not return to the game after suffering the injury. If Ogunjobi can not go, the Steelers will likely start Isaiahh Loudermilk.
On the other side, defensive tackle Montravius Adams was a full participant while fighting to come back from a torn meniscus. He could likely return against the Eagles after logging a fifth straight full practice.
Safety DeShon Elliott missed his second straight practice with a hamstring injury. Elliott’s hamstring tightness is looking like an issue that might keep him out against the Eagles. If he can not play, Damontae Kazee will start and Eric Rowe could come up from the practice squad to give some help.
