The Dallas Cowboys clearly have some holes on offense that they are going to need to address this upcoming offseason.
Dallas has some great pieces, but injuries and inconsistent play have had a major impact on the season. The Cowboys currently are 5-A8 and have a much higher chance of landing an early pick in the upcoming National Football League Draft than earning a playoff spot.
It wouldn’t hurt to add another receiver to the mix and Pro Football Network’s Ryan Gosling predicted the Cowboys will end up selecting Arizona standout receiver Tetairoa McMillan to pair with CeeDee Lamb.
“McMillan is a big-bodied receiver with a knack for making contested catches,” Gosling said. “His strong hands and body control make him a reliable target in tight windows, and his ability to win in the red zone would elevate the Cowboys’ offense. Dak Prescott was put on IR after suffering a hamstring injury in Week 9. It was a significant loss for this offense, but the Cowboys’ had already already been struggling with him.
“Through nine weeks with Prescott, Dallas ranked 27th in pass success rate and 31st in red-zone touchdown rate, metrics that trended in the wrong direction with Cooper Rush at the helm. CeeDee Lamb is a unique talent, but the Cowboys need a WR2 alongside him. McMillan can immediately be that player. His numbers this season help prove that.”
Adding McMillan would be a great idea. He currently has 1,319 receiving yards and eight touchdowns for Arizona. Adding a player of that caliber opposite Lamb would just open things up for the offense.
