Tegethoff Agrar: Modern Agricultural Practices in Focus 3/3 | Fendt | Köckerling Allrounder| Sugar Beet Harvest – A YouTube Review
Tegethoff Agrar, a family-owned farm from Saxony-Anhalt, Germany, has been featured in a three-part YouTube series showcasing their agricultural practices throughout the year. The third and final part of the series highlights the sugar beet harvest and introduces an exclusive surprise.
The video begins with the farm preparing for winter wheat sowing by using a Fendt 1050 Vario tractor, which recently arrived on the farm. The tractor’s high-tech workspace provides the operator with the ability to customize controls and displays. The tractor is equipped with a Köckerling Allrounder Profi-Line, which is a versatile implement used to create a fine seedbed. The machine can cover up to 3000 hectares per year, making it an essential tool for the farm.
The sugar beet harvest is the main focus of the video, with Tegethoff Agrar tasked with harvesting 420 hectares of land from 13 different plots. The sugar factory responsible for processing the beets provides the farmers with delivery dates, which is used to determine when the harvest can begin. The farm uses a Europa Tiger 6 harvester, which can operate 24/7 and covers approximately 25 hectares per day. This season’s yield averages 85 tonnes per hectare, surpassing the region’s average yield.
The video concludes with an exclusive surprise that the farm has in store for its viewers, making it an excellent watch for anyone interested in modern agricultural practices.
