The sensational rookie season for New York Giants star Malik Nabers continues.
Despite the incredibly poor production from the Giants offense as a whole and the carousel of quarterbacks under center since the departure of Daniel Jones, Nabers has been everything New York could have hoped for.
With two receptions in the first half against the Atlanta Falcons, Nabers broke the rookie receptions record in a single season for the Giants franchise.
The record was previously held by Odell Beckham Jr. in 2014 when he posted 91 receptions for 1,305 yards and 12 touchdowns during his rookie campaign.
Nabers has dealt with some injuries throughout the season, but he’s produced at an extremely high level. Entering Week 16, the No. 6 overall pick leads all rookies in receiving yards per game (75.1) and was tied with Brock Bowers for the receptions lead.
An offseason of change is coming for the Giants. They will have a new quarterback under center, and there’s a chance the current regime of Joe Schoen and Brian Daboll is let go.
Either way, the Giants have a cornerstone piece in place with Nabers.
