The Green Bay Packers have been playing some sensational football this season and are on the short list of Super Bowl contenders. They are 10-4 on the season entering Week 16. With quarterback Jordan Love performing to his usual standards, the Packers have won four of their last five games and appear to be peaking at the right time.
A smooth run to playoff qualification for the Packers
With a win Monday against the New Orleans Saints, the Packers will secure their spot for the playoffs.
Head Coach Matt LaFleur has praise for Jordan Love
Ahead of Green Bay’s game against Seattle, LaFleur mentioned Love is playing his career-best football. After throwing 11 interceptions in his first eight games of the season, Love hasn’t thrown a single pick in the last four contests. His QBR has been above 80 in each of the last three games and he’s creating plays with his legs as he recovers from a groin injury he was playing through.
Love’s having a strong statement this season
Jordan Love has had an impressive 2024 season. He has thrown for 2,953 yards and 23 touchdowns despite missing two games early in the year. His solid 66.4 QBR places him seventh in the league, highlighting his growth and consistency as the Packers’ quarterback.
With improved decision making and a return to health, Love appears to be catching fire at the perfect time for the Packers. Love had strong stretch at the end of last season, and a similar run this year could spark Green Bay’s title hopes.
Packers Face Injury Concerns Ahead of Playoff Push
There are a significant number of injuries in the squad, including players like Jaire Alexander, Javon Bullard, Luke Musgrave and Quay Walker. The team is hoping to get key defensive contributors, like Alexander and Bullard, back for the playoffs. LaFleur said Tuesday Walker (ankle) has a chance to be available for Monday’s game against the Saints.
