Playing the Chicago Bears, the Lions utilized another crazy trick play to beat the Bears 34-14.
The ‘stumble bum’ featured quarterback Jared Goff and running back Jahmyr Gibbs both faking that they fumbled the handoff before Goff found an open Sam Laporta for a for a 21-yard touchdown.

It’s the latest in a year of trick plays that have made the Lions the most interesting offense in the NFL.
Hook and Latter vs the Arizona Cardinals
With 29 seconds left in the first half against the Arizona Cardinals, the Lions were 21 yards from a score up 13-7. Jared Goff found Amon-Ra St. Brown on a three-yard slant route across the middle. St. Brown proceeded to lateral the ball to running back Jahmyr Gibbs who scored to make it 20-7 before the half. The Lions went on to win 20-13.

Double Reverse pass to Sam Laporta vs the Dallas Cowboys
The Lions blowout of the Dallas Cowboys featured a number of highlight trick plays, with the most explosive play being a double reverse pass from Goff to Sam Laporta that went for 52 yards. The Lions went on to blow out the Cowboys 47-9 in Dallas.

Hook and Latter to Penei Sewell vs the Dallas Cowboys
Late in the game during the 47-9 blowout of the Dallas Cowboys on Oct. 13, the Lions decided to do a hook and latter to all-pro right tackle Penei Sewell. It worked almost to perfection with Sewell diving to the endzone for what appeared to be a touchdown. Unfortunately, center Frank Ragnow was downfield too early, bringing the play back.
Amon-Ra St. Brown to Jared Goff vs the Seattle Seahawks
When the Lions took on the Seattle Seahawks on Sept. 30, they put on an offensive passing clinic with the Lions throwing a perfect game, going 19-19 for 300 yards and three touchdowns.

Goff went 18 for 18 on the day, but Amon-Ra St. Brown went 1 for 1 with a perfect throw to Goff for a seven-yard touchdown. The Lions went on to win 42-29 with Goff scoring two passing touchdowns and one receiving touchdown.
Dan Skipper finally gets a touchdown on a tackle eligible against the Bills
While the Lions fell to the Buffalo Bills, Dan Skipper finally got his first career touchdown off a tackle eligible play in the second quarter, drawing the Lions within seven points late in the first half. The Lions ultimately ended up falling, 48-42
