We’ve seen plenty of examples of group gifts from quarterbacks to their linemen, but arguably, there’s a position that is more impacted by offensive line play. That would be running back, as it’s a hard job to do without well-blocked gaps in front of you.
Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs has had a fantastic season so far with 1,216 rushing yards on the year, and he certainly has his offensive line to thank. He made sure to recognize their efforts with a personalized Christmas gift- diamond chains in the shape of each of their respective jersey numbers.
Take a look at these sparkling gifts from the Green Bay veteran to the blockers who help him move down the field and into the end zone, which he’s done 13 times on the ground this season.
The high-price pieces came from Houston-based jeweler ZoFrost, who did a great job with this unique task. Jacobs’s video of the bling was captioned “couldn’t do it without them,” a very fitting nod to his o-line teammates.
Jacobs ran behind an elite offensive line in college at Alabama, but he hasn’t always been quite as lucky in the NFL. He did run for a league-high 1,653 yards in 2022, with the Las Vegas Raiders but had something of a down-year last year as his yards per carry mark dropped from 4.9 to a dismal 3.5. Now, he’s experiencing a renaissance in Wisconsin, and he’s done a great job of recognizing the teammates who have helped him get there.
