Lions’ David Montgomery Teases Potential Return From Injury With Latest Social Media Post-bb

The Detroit Lions’ one-two backfield duo of David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs have paced Detroit’s 13-2 season with coach Dan Campbell’s team preparing to face the 49ers on the road this upcoming Monday.

The Lions were the NFL’s Super Bowl favorites recently until the injury bug began to bite key players including linebacker Malcolm Rodriguez, cornerback Carlton Davis III, defensive tackle Alim McNeill and others.

Montgomery suffered an MCL injury in Week 15 that was originally deemed season-ending. He is hoping to return in time for the NFL Playoffs and may not miss a single playoff game if the Lions secure a first round bye.

“He now is going to rehab with a realistic goal of being back for the divisional round of the playoffs,” NFL writer Ian Rapoport said about the Lions runner.

“So about a month from now for Montgomery.”
