The Tampa Bay Buccaneers suffered a tough loss on Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys and are looking to bounce back with a season sweep on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers.
Tampa Bay needs to win in order to avoid potentially being eliminated by the end of the day Sunday. A loss to the Panthers and a win by the Atlanta Falcons at Washington would officially eliminate the Bucs from playoff contention. Meanwhile, a win would put the Bucs in position to potentially regain the division lead.
Per 506Sports.com, the game will be shown across most of the Southeast. Ian Eagle and Charles Davis will be on the call for CBS.
The game will be on from Louisiana up through North Carolina as well as the Central Florida area. Most of Oklahoma also gets the game, presumably because of the Baker Mayfield factor.
It won’t be an easy task for the Bucs, as they learned back on December 1 in Charlotte. If not for a forced fumble by Anthony Nelson in overtime with Carolina in field goal range, the Bucs likely would have lost rather than prevailing 26-23. The Panthers have also been playing good football lately, losing one score games to Kansas City and Philadelphia and beating the Cardinals 36-30 in overtime last weekend.
The Bucs and Panthers get underway at 1:00 pm ET on Sunday at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.
