Cowboys miscommunication: Trey Lance still doesn’t know if he’ll play in final game of season.

Looks like the Dallas Cowboys are struggling with poor communication within the franchise as the final game of the 2024 season is just a couple of days away and the starting quarterback is yet to be decided. In the wake of this, backup Trey Lance is still wondering whether he’ll get to start this season after not receiving any clarity from the team.

The Cowboys are coming off another disappointment after their two-game winning streak was snapped by the Philadelphia Eagles. They are now headed for another game against divisional rivals, the Washington Commanders in Week 18 and they have stumbled upon the question of who will start Saturday’s game.

Lance– who got a glimmer of the regular season against the Eagles after covering for benched Cooper Rush, has reportedly not received any news from the franchise regarding his availability this week. However, he is keeping himself prepared if Cowboys Executive VP Stephen Jones gave him the opportunity to start.

Even though the young quarterback isn’t sure about starting this season, he is confident that he can earn the position of starting quarterback in the league someday, if not today. “Yea, absolutely, no doubt,” he said when asked if he believed in earning the starting role in the NFL.

By expressing his belief, Lance demonstrated to be a strong believer in manifesting. He shared that by maintaining faith and confidence in his potential to become the starting quarterback– regardless of when that may happen, he is determined to make it a reality for himself, which is why he holds such a firm belief in its possibility.

In a recent episode of 105.3 The Fan, the Cowboys’ Executive Vice President also addressed the questions regarding backup Lance’s availability to start next week. Since he handles the players’ personnel decisions, the questions were directed to him however, he did not give any clarity as well except admitting that the team wants to end the season on a good note.

The Cowboys have received tons of criticism for the way they are handling Lance. He received the first opportunity to start in two years, against the Eagles. However, then too he couldn’t make an impact as he arrived just 2:22 minutes remaining in the game and finished by completing a single pass for 1 yard.
