We won’t know the Chiefs’ 2025 schedule for at least a few months, but their opponents for next season have been determined — with one exception.
The NFL schedule is based on a rotation system, which is why the opponents are known ahead of the slate of games being released by the league.
This is from the league’s website:
“A formula determines each team’s opponents every year, and a rotating schedule ensures that every team plays each of the other 31 at least once in a four-year period.”
In addition to home-and-away games against the AFC West foes, the Chiefs will be playing each team in the AFC South and NFC East. Seven of the Chiefs’ nine home games during the 2025 season will be against teams that are in the playoffs this season.
The road will be a little easier as just three of eight foes are in this season’s postseason field.
