Determined to help Mika, a group of kind-hearted individuals took her to a bigger vet to receive proper medical care. Mika was skinny and couldn’t close her mouth, but she continued to wag her tail, afraid of being abandoned again. The team had to calm her down, assuring her that she would never be left alone again.
However, due to the lack of a prior appointment, Mika had to wait in line for treatment. It was heartbreaking to see her drooling excessively due to the pain she was enduring. Thankfully, others who saw Mika’s condition allowed her to move up in the queue, and she was given a small surgery and painkillers to alleviate her suffering. Mika was then placed in a special box for 24 hours to recover.
The next day, when the team checked on Mika, they were delighted to see her happy and showing signs of improvement. She was able to eat a little bit, although it was still challenging for her due to her condition. But Mika’s determination was unwavering, and after her belly was full, she even wanted to play, showing a newfound confidence in her eyes.
After four days, Mika’s bandages were removed, making it easier for her to eat. Although she was still underweight by 5 kilos, she was on the right track to recovery. The team made sure to feed her at least five times a day, and Mika always finished her entire bowl, earning her the title of a good girl. Her physical appearance improved significantly, and she was looking much better.
With her renewed strength, it was time for Mika to return to the shelter and await adoption. She continued to fight bravely, showing resilience and courage despite the hardships she had faced. Mika’s journey was a testament to the power of compassion and determination, and she was an inspiration to all who were involved in her rescue and recovery.
