Bills vs. Ravens injury update: Key playmaker could be out for each team.THANHDUNG

The Buffalo Bills played the Baltimore Ravens without three defensive starters in a regular season loss. Their entire defense is on track to be healthy for their playoff showdown.

No. 2 seed Buffalo hosts No. 3 Baltimore at 6:30 p.m. Sunday in the AFC divisional round.

The Bills have three injured players, head coach Sean McDermott said during his media availability Monday.

Rookie running back Ray Davis is in the NFL concussion protocol, offensive lineman Alec Anderson has a calf injury and return specialist Brandon Codrington continues to nurse a hamstring injury that kept him out of the wild-card round.

Davis suffered a concussion while in a vulnerable position reaching for an overthrown pass by quarterback Josh Allen. Broncos safety Brandon Jones was unable to let up and his shoulder collided with Davis’ head and neck.

“I passed (Davis) in the hallway today. Had a chance to catch up with him and reached out to him and connected with him last night,” McDermott said. “From a human standpoint, he seemed to be in a decent spot. The medical piece, all I really know right now is he’s in the protocol.”

Baltimore could be without Pro Bowl wide receiver Zay Flowers for the second straight playoff game. Flowers injured his right knee in the regular season finale, which is about the only dark cloud over the last month for the Ravens.

NFL teams have to submit a report on practice participation on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday for a Sunday game. There are three levels of practice participation that can be designated: did not participate, limited participation and full participation.

A game status report is due by 5 p.m. Friday for Sunday games.

Here is the Bills vs. Ravens injury report for the playoffs:

Buffalo Bills injury update for playoffs

Ray Davis, RB, concussion

Ray Davis sustained a concussion in the wild-card round win against Denver. He’s in the league’s concussion protocol.

Davis was open on a wheel route in the third quarter but Josh Allen misfired on the pass. The rookie running back made an off-balance attempt at a catch but the ball went past his outstretched arms. Davis stumbled forward and Broncos safety Brandon Jones lowered his shoulder, colliding with Davis’ helmet.

Jones was flagged for unnecessary roughness for a hit on a defenseless receiver and appeared to own up to the mistake on the field.

Davis lied on his back and Buffalo center Connor McGovern ran over to Davis’ side and signaled for the Bills’ training staff. He was ruled out for the rest of the game with a concussion.

“Love y’all,” Davis posted on X at 6 p.m. Sunday.

Davis will need to clear the NFL’s five-step concussion protocol process to return to the field.

Davis had 631 total yards and six total touchdowns in the regular season. He was third on the Bills with 442 rushing yards and three touchdowns and added 17 receptions for 189 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Alec Anderson, OT, calf

Alec Anderson suffered a calf injury in the wild-card victory over Denver. He was injured late in the second quarter but returned on the second play of the third quarter.

Anderson is considered day-to-day, according to Bills head coach Sean McDermott.

Anderson has found a niche in extra lineman formations. Buffalo uses six offensive linemen more than any team in the NFL and led the league in yards per rush and yards per play utilizing it. Anderson reported as eligible on 16 of his 22 offensive snaps in the playoff opener.

Anderson played 291 offensive snaps, 26.8%, in the regular season.

Brandon Codrington, RET/CB, hamstring

Brandon Codrington did not play in the wild-card game after suffering a hamstring injury in the Week 18 loss to the Patriots.

“He is improving,” Bills head coach Sean McDermott said Monday. “We’ll see where he goes this week.”

Codrington played a season-high 27 defensive snaps with a season-best four tackles against New England. He added two kickoff returns with a 31.0 average.

Injured reserve

The following Bills players are on injured reserve:

  • Travis Clayton, OT, shoulder
  • Shane Buechele, QB, neck
  • Tommy Doyle, OT, knee
  • Baylon Spector, LB

Baltimore Ravens injury update for playoffs

Zay Flowers, WR, knee

Pro Bowl wide receiver Zay Flowers hurt his right knee in Baltimore’s Week 18 win against Cleveland and missed the wild-card win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Flowers did not practice leading up to Baltimore’s wild-card game.

Flowers has an “outside chance” to play in the divisional round, according to NFL Network reporter Ian Rapaport.

“That’s in will-see mode. He’s working hard to get back,” Baltimore head coach John Harbaugh said Monday. “We’ll see toward the end of the week if he’s practicing. And he could play without practicing for sure if he feels healthy enough and if it’s safe for him.”

Flowers led Baltimore with 74 catches and 1,059 receiving yards and had four touchdowns in the regular season. He is the first Ravens wide receiver to make the Pro Bowl in franchise history.

Baltimore used two-tight end sets on 69.4% of its plays against Pittsburgh and no wide receiver had more than three receptions. Tight end Isaiah Likely led the team with 53 receiving yards and running back Justice Hill led the Ravens with four catches.

Deonte Harty, WR, knee

Deonte Harty suffered a knee injury in Week 6 and has been on injured reserve since Oct. 19.

Baltimore opened Harty’s 21-day practice window on Jan. 7. He was listed as questionable for the Ravens’ wild-card game against Pittsburgh but was inactive for the game.

Baltimore head coach John Harbaugh is unsure if Harty will activated against Buffalo.

“He had been gone for quite a while,” Harbaugh said Monday. “He had the physical situation. He had some personal things he was dealing with. But he was working hard in practice last week. You’ve just got to make sure a guy’s ready, is in shape and mentally ready. In his mind he’s ready, I can tell you that. He wants to play.”

Harty was the Bills return specialist in 2023. He was was released by Buffalo in March and signed by Baltimore in April.

Steven Sims returned punts for Baltimore versus Pittsburgh in the wild-card game. He muffed one punt and allowed two other punts to hit the ground without fielding them that were downed inside the 20-yard line.

Lamar Jackson, QB, back

Lamar Jackson was kneed in the back in the second quarte of the wild-card victory over Pittsburgh. Jackson said he wrapped his back with a heat pad during the game.

Baltimore head coach John Harbaugh was asked if Jackson would be limited this week in practice.

“It doesn’t look that way from what I’ve been told,” Harbaugh said.

Injured reserve

The following Ravens players are on injured reserve:

  • Jalyn Armour-Davis, CB
  • Malik Hamm, OLB
  • Christian Matthew, CB
  • Arthur Maulet, CB
  • Trayvon Mullen, CB
  • Owen Wright, RB

Injured reserve, designated for return

  • Deonte Harty, WR
