The weather forecast for Orchard Park for the Ravens vs. Bills game could make it the coldest game in NFL history…ANHTRUC.

More snow shovelers needed at Highmark Stadium before AFC Divisional game vs. Chiefs

The Buffalo Bills will face cold temperatures and a chance of snow when the Baltimore Ravens come to Orchard Park for a Divisional Round matchup.

The frigid air and possibility of wintry precipitation will only enhance the matchup between the league’s leading MVP candidates, Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson.

The National Weather Service in Buffalo forecast calls for a high of 22 degrees and mostly cloudy skies during the day, followed by an overnight low of 11 degrees. The chance of precipitation peaks at 50% in the evening.

The AccuWeather forecast predicts a warmer daytime temperature, peaking at 30 degrees, but just 17 degrees for the RealFeel temperature, a measure of how the temperature feels based on humidity, wind and other factors. The night time temperature, with a 6:30 p.m. kickoff, will be a chilly 12 degrees with some snow — and a RealFeel temperature of -3 degrees.

How Ravens vs. Bills weather will impact odds, betting

The Ravens are favored by 1 despite being on the road, likely due to Baltimore’s 35-10 victory over Buffalo in September. The Bills sport an undefeated home record this season, including a walkover 31-7 victory last weekend against the Denver Broncos.

Despite the cold temperatures and outside possibility of some snow, the over/under is set at 51.5 points. In games between 2003 and 2021 with temperatures colder than 30 degrees, betting the over has hit 59.2% of the time, according to Action Network.

A review of the 40 coldest games between 2009 and 2022 by Sharp Football Analysis found the over hit in 58% of games, though the average line was set at 42.4 points. Vegas is obviously expecting more fireworks between the league’s second and third-best scoring teams.

  • The Ravens lead the all-time series with the Bills, 7-4. Baltimore has won three of the four regular season matchups since Allen took over at quarterback, but Buffalo did win their only previous playoff matchup, 17-3, in the 2020 Divisional Round.
  • The Bills and Ravens play Sunday, Jan. 19 at 6:30 p.m. at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park. The game will be broadcast on local CBS affiliates, including WROC Channel 8 in Rochester.
