It took Mark Andrews four days before he could finally open up about his disastrous mistake in the Baltimore Ravens’ season-ending loss to the Buffalo Bills in the Divisional Round.
Andrews, who dropped what would have been a game-tying two-point conversion late in the fourth quarter, chose not to speak to reporters on Sunday right after Baltimore’s 27-25 defeat. On Thursday, however, the All-Pro tight end was finally able to compose his thoughts and come to terms with what turned out to be a devastating end to his and the Ravens’ campaign.
Andrews took to Instagram to share a lengthy message, which also included an emotional confession about how he’s “devastated for my teammates, my coaches and Ravens fans.”
The Ravens wasted no time showing their support to their star TE. The team did just that by sending a two-word message to Andrews in the comments section.
“Our guy 💜” the Ravens wrote.
The message was short and simple but it definitely speaks volumes of how the Ravens are standing behind Andrews amid all the negativity and intense criticism that has been thrown in his direction.
As Andrews indicated in his post, he is now doing everything he can to “bounce back” from this unfortunate turn of events. He remains one of the top tight ends in the game today, and the three-time Pro Bowler seems determined to prove just that in 2025.
