Brandon Beane doesn’t hold back about the two most controversial plays that didn’t go the Bills way in the AFC Championship Game..ANHTRUC.

Part of the season wrapping up always features the general manager answering questions about the season that was and where the roster needs to go from here. For Brandon Beane and the Bills, it’s a bitter pill to swallow, and they know it.

“Ultimately, the further you go, the worse it stings,” he said.

Beane was asked about football being a game of inches, and how he feels about the plays that could have gone their way but didn’t. Without blatantly saying the referees blew the calls, he gave very strong opinions on the matter.

“I feel like he got that” Brandon Beane said about Allen’s 4th down run that was ruled just short. “I still feel like he got that. I felt that in the moment, and I know nothing has changed my mind on that.”

“The play that we challenged, I thought was a good challenge,” Beane continued. “I think I’m not sure either player had possession on the Bishop/Worthy play. When the ball touched the ground, you have to have possession. It’s like, what is possession? But when the ball touches the ground, someone has to have established possession. And you know, they’ve given how they see it, and that’s their job, but it is what it is. Those just plays we didn’t make in a game too, that, by no means, we we saying that’s why we lost.”

Beane took a very strong stance on the two controversial plays. It’s going to be a long offseason for Buffalo as they lick their wounds and try to gear up for another run at unseating the Kansas City Chiefs atop the AFC.
