GOOD NEWS: Pittsburgh Steelers boost offense with pair of Ohio State stars in new mock draft.THANHDUNG

The Pittsburgh Steelers will look to the NFL Draft and free agency to boost their offense this offseason, and in the latest ESPN mock draft, they head to Columbus to do just that.

Quinshon Judkins

Matt Miller of ESPN has the Steelers selected Ohio State wide receiver Emeka Egbuka in the first round and running back Quinshon Judkins in the second round.

“The Steelers need to start thinking about rebuilding their wide receiver room if George Pickens doesn’t return after his rookie deal expires before the 2026 season. And regardless of Pickens’ future, the team could use a true No. 2 receiver right now. Pairing Egbuka with Pickens and 2024 rookie Roman Wilson would be a good start,” Miller wrote about Egbuka.

As for the selection of Judkins, Miller sees it as a direct replacement for running back Najee Harris, who is set to be a free agent and will likely leave the organization.

“Najee Harris is set to hit free agency, and his return to Pittsburgh is far from guaranteed. Judkins would be an ideal replacement. He has the downhill power of Harris but better speed to rip off the chunk plays missing from the Steelers’ offense, as evidenced by his 28 runs of 10 or more yards,” Miller wrote.

Those two picks would bolster an offense that needs talent, but the Steelers’ focus still seems to be heavily on the defensive line. While wide receiver in the first round is not crazy, it is hard to not see the team at least explore defensive line in these first two rounds.
