Report: Golden State Warriors’ Kevin Durant Trade Pursuit Gets ‘Aggressive’ Update…ts.dhung.

The NBA trade deadline is just under two days away, and we’ve already seen a massive blockbuster trade involving Luka Doncic and Anthony Davis take place. While nothing is set in stone, it’s looking like the Golden State Warriors actually have a shot at pulling off a massive trade of their own and reuniting with Kevin Durant.

The Doncic-Davis trade between the Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas Mavericks seems to have opened the door for another big trade to get made before the deadline. In the wake of the aforementioned deal, Durant shared his surprise that the Mavs were willing to trade away the face of their franchise.

“Insane,” Durant said after the Phoenix Suns loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday night. “It’s crazy, crazy. Never thought Luka Doncic would get traded at his age, mid-season. The NBA is a wild place, man. If he can get traded, then anybody is up for grabs.”

Durant himself could now be on the move as the Suns try to figure out what their deadline strategy will be. The Warriors are trying to maximize their title window while Stephen Curry is still around, and it’s led to an “aggressive” pursuit of Durant that has folks in the NBA believing that he will eventually land with Golden State.

“Multiple league sources have told me there is increasing belief that Kevin Durant lands with the Golden State Warriors. Plenty has to happen, but the Warriors’ pursuit of this trade has been aggressive. Just figured I’d mention this as something to watch as the deadline looms,” Grant Afseth of Dallas Hoops Journal reported in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Durant has remained as efficient as ever for Phoenix this season, averaging 26.9 points per game on 52.4% shooting from the floor. The legendary forward won a pair of titles with Golden State earlier in his career, and if this wild trade ends up happening, he may have another shot to chase titles alongside Curry with the Warriors.
