Buffalo Bills’ Mitchell Trubisky Starts 2025 With Major Life Announcement: Mentorship Program Launch
Buffalo Bills quarterback Mitchell Trubisky is kicking off 2025 with a significant off-the-field endeavor: the launch of a mentorship program aimed at supporting young athletes in underserved communities. While specific details are still emerging, Trubisky has indicated the program will focus on providing guidance, resources, and opportunities to help young athletes achieve their full potential, both on and off the field.
Trubisky’s return to Buffalo this year saw him sign a two-year deal for $5.25 million to back up star quarterback Josh Allen. This is his second stint with the Bills, having previously served as Allen’s backup in 2021. His familiarity with the team and the Bills’ offensive system makes him a valuable asset.
“To reunite with these guys, this team and really playing this offensive system that’s friendly to the QB, something I’m familiar with, that I think helps my skill set, it just felt like a no-brainer,” Trubisky said. “It felt like coming back home. So, I was very excited about it”.
Trubisky brings experience to the Bills, having started 57 games in his seven-year career. He has thrown for 12,536 yards and 72 touchdowns. The Bills are hoping his experience will provide a reliable option to support Allen.
The mentorship program announcement adds another dimension to Trubisky’s role, showcasing his commitment to giving back to the community. While serving as a backup, Trubisky will be working to make a meaningful impact beyond the football field.
