Super Bowl Sunday got even better after it was announced that one very important person was returning to NFL Countdown.

Randy Moss took a step back from TV after he revealed he was diagnosed with caner in December.

But, he was back for the NFL’s biggest day of the year. And while he asked his fellow analysts to not make a big deal about his return, they did have a very special video tribute that included sentiments from many of his former teammates and coaches.

“Hey Randy, wanted to let you know we’re behind you as you continue your fight,” former Patriots head coach Bill Belichick said. “Welcome back to TV and Countdown.”

“Welcome back Randy,” Tom Brady also stated. “I’m sure all the guys on set have missed you, but we’ve all missed as. You’ve been a fixture on that show for a long time and you were a fixture on the field. And for as great as you were on the field in showing everybody strength and resilience and how you performed over the course of your Hall of Fame career, you’ve impressed and inspired us more than anything you’ve done off the field, man.”

“You’re a brother to me. I love you more than anything in this world,” Brady added. “It’s so great to have you back.

Moss shed a few tears while watching.

“Y’all already know it’s the big crybaby here,” Moss said after watching the video. “I couldn’t do it alone. And I really thank y’all… It’s been hard, but I got a lot of love from a lot of people believing in me.

“I’m happy to be here.”

He made the initial announcement on Instagram Live, explaining that he had surgery in Charlotte for his cancer which was located in his bile duct near his liver and spent six days in the hospital recovering.

“I just wanted y’all to see that I did bounce back, but there’s a lot of people out there that is either battling cancer or has had cancer in their family that people are fighting,” he said. “Things took the turn for the worst … y’all best believe your boy came through.”

Not only did he come through, but he’s back with the NFL Countdown crew.
