CeeDee Lamb Shuts Down Trade Rumors with Bold Three-Word Message-HN

During the 2024 offseason, the future of Dallas Cowboys stars CeeDee Lamb and Dak Prescott became a major talking point. While team owner Jerry Jones eventually extended both players’ contracts before the season began, the drawn-out negotiations cost the Cowboys the chance to create cap space for key free-agent signings that could have bolstered their roster.

Cowboys Considered Trading Micah Parsons

Reports from Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport of NFL Network on Sunday revealed that the Cowboys internally debated the possibility of trading star pass rusher Micah Parsons earlier in the offseason.

Rapoport noted that Parsons, typically vocal about team matters, remained largely silent following the team’s decision to promote Brian Schottenheimer after unexpectedly parting ways with head coach Mike McCarthy—an event Parsons described as “devastating.”

Though no official trade discussions have taken place, sources indicate the front office weighed the pros and cons of either committing to a massive contract extension for Parsons or exploring the possibility of trading him for a significant return.

Stephen Jones, the team’s COO, acknowledged in December that the franchise was evaluating the financial feasibility of investing heavily in just a few key players. However, he also stated that he couldn’t envision a scenario where Parsons wouldn’t be a Cowboy. The star defender is set to earn approximately $24 million in 2025 under his fifth-year rookie contract option.

Lamb’s Reaction

Later that day, Lamb took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his frustration over the ongoing rumors.

“Y’all aren’t tired of this? Every offseason, top of the charts,” he wrote. “Let’s just win ball games, and that’s with 11! SMH.”

His post left some questioning whether he was directing his frustration at the media’s constant speculation or at Jerry Jones, whose handling of player negotiations often draws attention.
