The Buffalo Bills are making bold moves in the latest round of NFL mock drafts to come out after Super Bowl 2025.
Buffalo was one of five teams making first-round trades in a three-round mock draft at NFL.com.
The Bills sent three 2025 draft picks to the Minnesota Vikings to move up six spots and grab Michigan defensive tackle Kenneth Grant.
“The Bills send Pick No. 30 and two fourth-rounders to Minnesota (which currently has no selections in Round 4) to move up for the big but nimble Grant, improving a rush defense that gave up 311 yards and four scores on the ground in Buffalo’s final two playoff games,” wrote Chad Reuter.
This isn’t the first time a bold first-round move was forecast in a mock draft. A few weeks ago, one site flirted with the idea of the Bills pulling out all stops to draft the next Stefon Diggs at wide receiver. But, crucially, how steep of a price the Bills would have to pay. Giving up three 2025 draft picks for one player might be too rich for general manager Brandon Beane to stomach, even if two other draft experts think the Bills should grab the burly Grant.

So who did the Bills grab with their two picks in the second round in the NFL.com mock draft? Ole Miss Edge rusher Princely Umanmielen and Texas Christian wide receiver Jack Bech.
But Umanmielen, whose been talked up lately, may be off the board before the Bills get to their second pick (No. 56) in the draft, according to NFL Mock Draft Database. NFL.com predicts that Bech will develop into an average starter.
Here are some other recent mock drafts:
CB Shavon Revel Jr., East Carolina
In contrast to NFL.com’s mock draft, USA Today’s mock draft had the Bills staying put at No. 30.
“Rasul Douglas is one of Buffalo’s few key contributors ticketed for free agency, and the Bills might have a hard time shaking the image of Patrick Mahomes repeatedly picking on Kaiir Elam in the AFC title game. Revel, who is still working his way back from a torn anterior cruciate ligament suffered in September, could team with Christian Benford and Taron Johnson to better position this group to match up with Mahomes and the Chiefs when it matters most.”
Edge Princely Umanmielen, Ole Miss

Like NFL.com, the Sporting News sees Umanmielen as a good fit for the Bills. Vinnie Iyer says the Bills could use some youth in its pass rush.
“Umanmielen is a versatile pass rusher who can play multiple spots in their rotation,” Iyer says.
S Nick Emmanwori, South Carolina
Mike Renner at CBS Sports says Emmanwori is the “tone-setter” the Bills have been missing.
“At more than 220 pounds, Emmanwori can still cover ground and lay the boom,” Renner writes.
Jahdae Barron, DB, Texas
Like NFL.com, Nick Baumgardner at The Athletic had a three-round mock draft. Baumgardner says Barron is one of his favorite players and could come off the board early.
“Barron might not blow anyone away with his testing, but he has the potential to be this draft’s version of Brian Branch — a do-it-all defender who can make plays at safety, outside corner or in the slot, so long as you’ve got a plan for him,” Baumgardner writes.
Moving into the second round, Baumgardner predicts the Bills will grab the aforementioned WR Jack Bech followed by South Carolina DT T.J. Sanders.
DL Derrick Harmon, Oregon
Bleacher Report is the latest NFL site that thinks the Bills will grab this “very disruptive player” in the first round. They believe defensive interior is where the Bills can gain an upper hand on the Kansas City Chiefs.
“The Chiefs could very well lose standout right guard Trey Smith in free agency since he’s due a massive new contract. At left guard, Joe Thuney turns 33 later this year, and he could be closer to retirement than coming back for another season.
“If Kansas City loses both of its guards, it’s an area where opponents can attack and make life uncomfortable for quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Oregon’s Derrick Harmon created as much or more pressure than any other defensive tackle this past season. Plus, he’s an ideal fit for what the Bills like to do.
“The Bills’ DaQuan Jones is B/R’s comparison for Harmon, as the 33-year-old will enter a contract year next season,” Holder said. “While the former Duck may not get much playing time as a rookie, he should fit well in Buffalo as Jones’ eventual replacement.”
Edge J.T. Tuimoloau, Ohio State
Kyle Dvorchak of NBC Sports says Ohio State has two edge rushers that might still be around at No. 30. Dvorchak says Tuimoloau is the better choice.
“Tuimoloau held a significant advantage in sacks (12.5 vs. 9), tackles for losses (22 vs. 9) and is a year younger than his teammate. Sawyer has the edge in some other metrics — pressures and PFF’s pass-rush grade — but I’ll side with the younger, larger, and better run defender in Tuimoloau.”
