Bregman sent a moonshot over the left field wall in the bottom of the second inning off of pitcher Andrew Bash in his first at-bat of spring training.

Bregman would later go on to record another two hits (singles) with a pair of RBI and a run scored.

The 2024 Gold Glove recipient signed a three-year deal worth $120 million with the Red Sox this offseason (click here for details).

The veteran was under a lot of heat shortly after joining his new team in Florida for spring training after questions flared up about whether he was definitely going to be taking veteran Rafael Devers’ (28) starting spot at third.

In a question to Devers asking if he would be reluctant to give up his spot at the hot corner for Bregman, the third baseman simply responded, “No.”

However, Bregman handled the situation with class by stating, “I’ll play wherever helps the team win.”

Bregman played at third base during Sunday’s matchup against Toronto while Devers wasn’t in the lineup.

But don’t read too much into that as spring training lineups should be taken with a grain of salt in comparison to what the Opening Day lineups will be.
