The Buffalo Bills confirmed some additions to the team’s coaching staff at the 2025 NFL combine, including the hiring of special teams coordinator Chris Tabor.
At the end of the 2024 season, head coach Sean McDermott praised former coordinator Matthew Smiley and said he’d be back next year… but that changed. A longtime veteran coach, Tabor’s addition among others were confirmed by McDermott at the combine.
Along with Tabor, the other hires include:
- Nickel coach Mike Pellegrino
- Assistant defensive line coach Jason Rebrovich
- Senior defensive assistant Ryan Nielson
McDermott told reporters via video conference at the combine that he didn’t want to rush his past response on Smiley.
“Wanted to take my time and go through it and fully evaluate the position,” McDermott said.
