Bills tight end Armani Rogers faces surgery after reportedly tearing his Achilles tendon during offseason training.
The former quarterback, who played college football at both UNLV and Ohio, only joined Buffalo in January.
He missed the entire 2023 season due to a torn Achilles tendon and now the 27-year-old has suffered the same injury.
The news, first revealed by KPRC 2 Houston, comes after a year when Sean McDermott’s side fell agonizingly short of reaching the Super Bowl.
Rogers went undrafted back in 2022 before joining the Washington Commanders. He left to join the Philadelphia Eagles and had another brief stint on the Atlanta Falcons.
The 27-year-old, a native of Buffalo, then joined his hometown team in January.

But now Rogers faces more months on the sidelines, with Dalton Kincaid, Dawson Knox and Quintin Morris the other tight ends on the Bills roster.
Back in January, Kincaid dropped a crucial late pass as the Bills were edged out by the Chiefs in the AFC Championship game.
Kincaid faced a torrent of abuse after Buffalo’s hopes of reaching the Super Bowl were ended by Patrick Mahomes and Co.
But the Chiefs were beaten by the Eagles in New Orleans. Only a few months earlier, Rogers had been claimed off waivers by Philadelphia.
The former quarterback amassed five catches for 64 yards during his rookie year with the Commanders before missing the 2023 campaign through injury.
