Travis Kelce Names Biggest Factor In Decision To Return For 2025…TS.DHUNG.

Last month’s three-peat attempt was worse than anyone on the Kansas City Chiefs ever could’ve imagined.

The back-to-back defending Super Bowl champs fell to the Philadelphia Eagles 40-22, and even trailed 34-0 at one point — with the game pretty much over at half.

Travis Kelce’s future has been a big discussion since that loss. But the star tight end has announced that he’s coming back and he explained why on the latest episode of his “New Heights” podcast.

“I still feel like I can play at a high level and possibly at a higher level than I did last year,” Kelce said. “I don’t think it was my best outing. I think I let my guys down in a lot more moments than I helped them.”

“Especially if you look at my track record and how I’ve been in years past. I want to give it a good run,” he added about returning. “I have a bad taste in my mouth in how I ended the year and how well I was playing and how accountable I was for the people around me.”

“I feel like there’s a responsibility in me to play out the contract that I initially signed, to give Kansas City and the Chiefs organization everything that I got, and that’s what I’m gonna do, man,” Travis concluded.

Kelce only caught four balls for 39 yards in Super Bowl LIX — most of which came in garbage time. And while he doesn’t know if 2025 will be his final season or not, he feels like he has to give it a go for the franchise that changed his life.

“I can’t say whether or not this is going to be the last year because I still love a lot of what I do for the city of Kansas City and the Chiefs organization,” he said.

Kelce remains the only tight end to record seven straight 1,000-yard seasons from 2016-2022. And another similar campaign next fall would place him second all-time at his position behind the legendary Tony Gonzalez.
