BREAKING: Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, who previously played as a wide receiver for the Tennessee Titans, is joining the Miami Dolphins. nhathung

Former Tennessee Titans wideout Nick Westbrook-Ikhine is reportedly making his way to South Beach. According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, Westbrook-Ikhine is joining the Miami Dolphins through a free agent agreement, signing a two-year contract valued at $3.2 million.

Westbrook-Ikhine, one of the Titans’ longest-standing players, initially joined the team as an undrafted free agent in 2020. Between 2020 and 2024, no Titan played more games than Westbrook-Ikhine, who participated in 78 contests and started 39 of them. In 2024, he reached personal bests with 497 receiving yards and nine touchdowns from a career-high of 60 targets.

As Westbrook-Ikhine signed, the implications for the Tennessee Titans in NFL free agency are significant. He became the Titans’ secondary receiving option midway through the 2024 season after an injury sidelined former first-round pick Treylon Burks, and the team traded veteran DeAndre Hopkins to Kansas City.

Westbrook-Ikhine caught fire midway through the season, securing eight touchdowns in the eight games spanning Week 5 to Week 12. Since the Titans’ relocation to Tennessee in 1997, only four wide receivers have caught more touchdowns for the team than Westbrook-Ikhine: Derrick Mason, Nate Washington, Drew Bennett, and A.J. Brown. His 98-yard touchdown catch against Minnesota in 2024 matches the longest reception in the franchise’s history, including the Houston era.

The Titans’ receiving lineup is set for a revamp in 2025. Both Westbrook-Ikhine and fellow starter Tyler Boyd are free agents, leaving only Calvin Ridley and Burks as consistent contributors on the roster heading into OTAs. Wide receiver, along with quarterback, right tackle, and pass rusher, is anticipated to be one of the primary areas of focus for the Titans in free agency and the draft.
