BREAKING: Former Dodgers Comeback Bid Turning Heads.-EH

Trayce Thompson might just be the comeback story of the year. Once a familiar face in Dodger blue, Thompson has been turning heads this spring as he dons the Boston Red Sox gear.

And his performance is giving baseball fans plenty to talk about. With six home runs to his name in just 24 at-bats, Thompson has barrelled his way to the top of the league, flaunting a .375/.531/1.208 slash line that would make any pitcher think twice before throwing to him.

His OPS is an eye-popping 1.739, and he’s racking up the stats with 13 RBIs, two doubles, and three stolen bases. Even his plate discipline shines, with seven walks against seven strikeouts.

Originally signed to a minor league deal, Thompson seemed to be an afterthought for the Sox. Well, he’s now anything but.

His on-field heroics are making a strong case not just for a spot on Boston’s roster, but perhaps drawing eyes from other teams in the majors as well. This could be a major turn for a player who joined Boston with modest expectations but has played himself into the conversation for a big-league call-up.

The tale of Trayce Thompson’s baseball journey is a rollercoaster. Drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the second round of the 2009 draft, he made his Major League debut in 2015.

Not long after, the Dodgers brought him to LA for the 2016 season. His path since then has been like a well-traveled road map of MLB cities, with stops in Oakland, back to the White Sox, Chicago Cubs, and San Diego Padres.

With a career average of .212 alongside 45 homers and 126 RBIs, Thompson’s numbers tell a tale of ups and downs. But after the spring he’s having, there’s every reason to believe he could add some significant highlights to his career storyline soon.
