Says Goodbye To Eagles After Signing With Vikings..ANHTRUC,

Report: Vikings considering Aaron Rodgers | theScore.com

The Minnesota Vikings bolstered their defensive backfield by signing cornerback Isaiah Rodgers to a two-year, $15 million contract as the NFL’s free agency negotiation window opened. Rodgers, fresh off a championship season with the Philadelphia Eagles, played a significant role in securing their second Super Bowl title. But all good things must come to an end, and Rodgers is ready to start his next chapter in Minnesota.

On social media, Rodgers expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Eagles’ faithful, his former teammates, and the organization itself. His words echoed the spirit of Philadelphia, the city that embraced him: “Dear Philly, to the fans – the land of the underdog.

I was down and out, and you all embraced me as one of your own. I will never forget my time here.

From our pregame catches and cleat giveaways, to our Super Bowl Championship, I have genuinely never had more fun playing this game. It was a very difficult decision to leave, but I will always remember all the love and support you showed me and my family.

To my teammates – family for life. To the organization, thank you for taking a chance on me.

I will forever remain a Philadelphia Eagle Super Bowl Champion. Until we meet again Philly!

Love always, 34 – Isaiah Rodgers, Sr.”

Rodgers started his NFL journey with the Indianapolis Colts, who picked him in the sixth round of the 2020 draft. However, the road got rocky when he faced a suspension in 2023 for breaching the league’s gambling policy, which led to his release.

The Eagles, seeing potential, picked him up on a one-year contract. Although his suspension kept him off the field initially, Rodgers made his presence felt during the 2024 season, registering 26 total tackles, 17 solo tackles, one forced fumble, and four passes defended in 15 games.

But Rodgers isn’t the only new face in Minnesota. The Vikings have been active, too, reinforcing their squad during the NFL’s legal tampering period by adding center Ryan Kelly, offensive guard Will Fries, and defensive tackle Jonathan Allen.

More muscle might be joining the trenches soon, with defensive tackle Javon Hargrave expected to join once his release from the 49ers is finalized. Not forgetting to secure their strong points, the Vikings have also retained Pro Bowl cornerback Byron Murphy.

With these strategic acquisitions, the Vikings aim to build on their impressive 14-3 record from last season, despite an early postseason exit at the hands of the Los Angeles Rams in the wild-card round. The pieces are being set, and the Vikings are eager to turn potential into performance. Football fans in Minnesota, it’s time to get excited about the upcoming season, as the Vikings look poised to make some serious noise in the league.
