The executive vice president, Stephen Jones, recently mentioned the team’s intention to draft a young quarterback, a plan that seems even more likely now. He stated, “We aim to bring in a young quarterback. We’ll assess our options and see if we can develop a promising talent from the draft.”

This offseason, the Cowboys brought in Junior Adams, a former Oregon assistant, as their wide receivers coach. Adams is well-acquainted with Gabriel’s abilities and what he could offer the team. In 2024, Gabriel achieved 3,857 passing yards and 30 touchdowns over 14 games, alongside 149 rushing yards and 7 touchdowns. His collegiate career concluded with a Rose Bowl loss to Ohio State.
