Bills Captain, Wife Reveal Exciting Personal News During Offseason.THANHDUNG

While Buffalo Bills linebacker Terrel Bernard still had one year left on his rookie contract, the team’s front office didn’t want to take any chances with their 2022 third-round pick.

Bernard signed a four-year extension that keeps him in Buffalo through the 2029 season. The deal worth $50 million with $25.2 million guaranteed, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. The sole defensive captain for the 2024 season finished his third year with 104 tackles, two interceptions, five tackles for loss, three quarterback hits, one sack and three passes defensed.

While Bernard inked his deal, his wife, Tayler Bernard, who’s pregnant with the couple’s first child, stood by his side.

After quietly tying the knot in a low key wedding in November, the couple announced they were expecting in December. Speaking to reporters after inking his new deal, Bernard revealed exciting news about their baby.

Following his massive pay raise, Bernard said that he planned to put most of the money away since they have a baby girl on the way, per WGR 550’s Sal Capaccio. The 25-year-old also shared they expect her  to arrive in June.

Over the weekend, Bernard and Tayler hosted a baby shower. She captioned the post, “Just a couple more months until baby girl is here 🩷.”

Bills kicker Tyler Bass’ wife Ryan Bass commented, “So beautiful!!! Cannot wait to meet her 🥹💓.” Backup quarterback Mitch Trubisky’s wife Hillary wrote, “Absolutely stunning 🥹💕🫶.” Hayley Beane, wife of Bills general manager Brandon Beane added, “Love it! You’re glowing, mama!”

The Bernards are thrilled to remain in Buffalo for the foreseeable future. “It’s not often you get to play for a great team, great teammates, great fans and in a great city…I’m grateful,” he said.

The Baylor alum was also pumped to see Bills quarterback Josh Allen sign a new six-year, $330 million deal. “I think you see it every Sunday, just how he plays and what he does for our team. But also, outside of that, the confidence he brings in everybody else. I feel like, truthfully, whenever we have 17 back there, you got a shot.”
