Homestead-Miami Speedway announced that Miami Dolphins linebacker Bradley Chubb will serve as the grand marshal for the Straight Talk Wireless 400. The esteemed two-time Pro Bowl player will energize South Florida fans with the iconic pre-race command before the NASCAR Cup Series drivers face off on Sunday, March 23.

“We are thrilled to have an athlete as dedicated as Bradley Chubb help us kick off the Straight Talk Wireless 400 as our grand marshal,” commented Homestead-Miami Speedway President Guillermo Santa Cruz. “Bradley’s competitive spirit mirrors the intense racing we showcase here at Homestead-Miami Speedway. We look forward to him bringing the vibrant South Florida sports spirit to our fans before another exciting Cup Series race next weekend.”

Chubb played college football at NC State for four seasons, earning several accolades such as ACC Defensive Player of the Year, first-team All-ACC, first-team All-America, the Bronko Nagurski Trophy, and the Ted Hendricks Award. Drafted fifth overall in the 2018 NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos, he spent four seasons there before being traded to the Miami Dolphins. Chubb signed a lucrative five-year, $110 million contract extension, with $63.2 million guaranteed. In 2022, he had a strong season with eight sacks, 39 total tackles, one pass deflection, and three fumble recoveries.

Chubb was selected for his second Pro Bowl in 2023, playing in 16 games and achieving 11 sacks, his second-highest career total. Unfortunately, he tore his ACL in Week 17 of 2023, causing him to miss the 2024 season during recovery. Chubb remains a key component of the Miami Dolphins defense as they aim for another playoff run, having last reached the playoffs in 2023.

The racing festivities commence on Friday, March 21, with the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series Baptist Health 200 at 8:00 p.m. ET.

On Saturday, March 22, the NASCAR Xfinity Series Hard Rock Bet 300 continues the weekend’s excitement at 4:00 p.m. ET. Then, on Sunday, March 23, the NASCAR Cup Series drivers will conclude the weekend’s events with the Straight Talk Wireless 400 at 3:00 p.m. ET. Adult tickets for Friday and Saturday start at $11.10, and General Admission is FREE for children 12 and under. On Sunday, kids 12 and under gain entry for just $10 with a paid adult ticket.
