The Los Angeles Dodgers are set to open up their 2025 regular season schedule on Tuesday against the Chicago Cubs in Tokyo, Japan.
After a busy offseason that saw quite a few new pieces brought in, the Dodgers may not be done moving players around. They could end up being active ahead of the MLB trade deadline this year as well.
Not only could they look to acquire more talent, there are some pieces that they could move on from as well.
One of those potential trade chips is a talented starting pitcher who they may not have the luxury of waiting on to put everything together.

Joel Reuter of Bleacher Report recently took a look at 10 potential MLB trade candidates for this season. He listed Los Angeles starting pitcher Bobby Miller as one of those players.
“The Dodgers do not have the luxury of allowing him to work through his issues at the MLB level while chasing another World Series title, but he could be a great reclamation project for a rebuilding club,” Reuter wrote.
Miller is coming off of a 2024 season where he made made 13 starts. He compiled a 2-4 record to go along with an 8.52 ERA, a 1.77 WHIP, a 1.7 K/BB ratio, and 56.0 innings pitched.
Back in 2023, he had a much better showing in 22 starts. He went 11-4 with a 3.76 ERA, a 1.10 WHIP, a 3.7 K/BB ratio, and 124.1 innings completed.
At just 25 years old, Miller would be a very intriguing trade target for many different teams around Major League Baseball.
