BULLS’ CORNER: As we all know, Josh Giddey would RETURN but something will take in consider…..ts.thuong.

The Chicago Bulls have faced challenges in their recent games without their dynamic guard, Josh Giddey, who has been sidelined due to an ankle sprain. The Bulls head coach, Billy Donovan, has given fans a glimmer of hope, revealing that Giddey is making rapid progress in his recovery. According to Donovan, Giddey is expected to return to the lineup during the Bulls’ upcoming back-to-back games against the Phoenix Suns and Sacramento Kings. However, the talented guard will likely participate in only one of the two matchups.

K.C. Johnson reported via X, “Josh Giddey is progressing well, per Donovan. Likely to return for one of PHX/SAC B2B. Won’t play both.” This recovery is particularly promising as Giddey has emerged as a key contributor, averaging an impressive 22.5 points, 10 rebounds, and 7.9 assists in his last ten games, shooting 54.5% from beyond the arc and 52.1% overall.

Josh Giddey, Chicago Bulls

While Donovan eagerly anticipates Giddey’s return, it is crucial for the coaching staff to proceed with caution. Giddey will likely face some restrictions on his playing time to ensure his ankle heals properly under the added strain of gameplay. Nevertheless, his early return is undoubtedly positive news for the Bulls as they fight for a coveted spot in the play-in tournament.

In addition to his on-court contributions, Giddey’s future with the team is a hot topic as he enters restricted free agency this summer. ESPN’s Brian Windhorst speculated that Giddey could command a significant contract, potentially around $30 million. “The going rate for a starting point guard in the NBA is around thirty million dollars. He is their starter,” Windhorst mentioned. The Bulls’ management may have tough decisions ahead as they try to secure Giddey’s long-term commitment, especially after recently extending Lonzo Ball.

Speaking of Lonzo, he has also been absent due to a right wrist injury. Thankfully, Coach Donovan has confirmed that there are no plans to shut him down for the season, which is encouraging for Bulls fans hoping to see him during the playoffs.

As the Bulls gear up for crucial games ahead, the potential return of Josh Giddey could be the spark they need. With a mix of injury management and strategic planning, the Bulls’ front office and coaching staff must ensure the best path forward for both current performance and future growth.

Stay tuned for updates as the Bulls navigate this intense part of the season!
