The Dallas Cowboys, often criticized for their frugality in NFL free agency and trades, have defied expectations this offseason. Despite their reputation, they’ve made several strategic moves aimed at setting the stage for a successful 2025.

In addition to their free agent acquisitions, the Cowboys are working to secure contract extensions for a trio of All-Pro players set to hit free agency in 2026, which could influence their decisions in the near future.

ESPN’s Bill Barnwell indicates that the Cowboys might not be finished making moves, naming them as a possible destination for former Arizona Cardinals and Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Kyzir White.

Barnwell explained that White remains unsigned because “teams prioritized paying three-down linebackers Nick Bolton and Robert Spillane early in free agency, but even though White has played extensively, he may not be viewed as that type of player by many teams.”

The Cowboys already have five linebackers with starting experience, making it unlikely they would sign someone who could hinder the growth of Marist Liufau and DeMarvion Overshown. However, Overshown may not return until midseason, and Damone Clark is considered a potential cut, which could create an opportunity for White in Dallas.
