As the regular season concluded, former Kansas City Chiefs wideout Tyreek Hill expressed his frustration with his Miami Dolphins teammates. Following a loss to the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium, Hill exited the visiting locker room in anger, voicing a desire for a trade.
The Dolphins’ failure to reach the playoffs for the first time in Hill’s three-year stint left him displeased. His performance suffered significantly, owing to quarterback Tua Tagovailoa’s absence in six games due to a concussion and hip injury.
In 2024, the explosive receiver caught 81 passes for 959 yards and six touchdowns, a stark decline from his 2023 season when he snagged 119 passes for 1,799 yards and 13 touchdowns. Hill, alongside his agent Drew Rosenhaus, later retracted the trade request, making amends with the Dolphins’ management.
On social media, an unrelated site noted it had been three years since Hill’s trade from the Chiefs to the Dolphins. Hill acknowledged the post, leaving a five-word message that seemed to subtly jab at the Chiefs. “Changed my life thank you,” Hill wrote.
The Chiefs traded Hill to the Dolphins on March 23, 2022, in exchange for five draft picks. On social media, Hill has been seen rigorously training in preparation for OTA’s. If the Dolphins can maintain Tagovailoa’s health and Hill’s contentment, they might demonstrate that last season was merely a blip.
