Blizzard is lab tested homozygous for black and is therefore пeɡаtіⱱe for the chestnut gene. His original owners said he was born black, but changed to a reddish shade when he was about 2 years old.
The combination of the appaloosa gene with the dun gene is what makes him look red. Blizzard is a proven stallion and is making gorgeous loud black leopard & dun leopard foals for us!
