Join us in extending a warm welcome to the newest additions to the Dogs Deserve Better Blue Ridge family, Charles and Meemaw! These charming hounds found their way into our hearts after being rescued from Buckingham County Animal Control, where they were surrounded by an abundance of wonderful dogs.
What makes Charles and Meemaw’s story even more heartening is that they didn’t arrive together or know each other initially. However, their connection became instantly evident as they walked out of the shelter side by side, inseparable even during a stroll through Tractor Supply while waiting for their baths. It’s as if they’ve shared a bond for a lifetime. 🩵🤍🖤
A heartfelt thank you goes out to Meg Shrum and Susan Nelson for providing care and support for Meemaw, and special gratitude to Malcom for offering Charles a soft place to land. The dedication of our fosters, like Meg, Susan, and Malcom, is truly the backbone of our mission.
