LATEST UPDATE: 49ers injury updates immediately following loss vs. Miami Dolphins.. – VC

The San Francisco 49ers (6-9) suffered a series of injuries to key cogs during their 29-17 loss at the Miami Dolphins (7-8) on Sunday afternoon from Hard Rock Stadium.

Offensively, guards Aaron Banks and Jaylon Moore exited with injuries. Defensively, linebackers Dre Greenlaw and Dee Winters and defensive end Leonard Floyd all left at different points with various ailments.

Afterwards, San Francisco head coach Kyle Shanahan provided his initial injury update.

“Alright guys, injuries from the game. Greenlaw, right calf, never returned. Leonard Floyd, shoulder, did return. Jaylon Moore, quad, did not return. Aaron Banks, knee, did not return. Dee Winters, chest, did not return,” Shanahan said.

Asked the seriousness of Banks’ injury, Shanahan didn’t sound optimistic.

“Yeah, they thought it was most likely an MCL,” Shanahan said.

Shanahan was asked if Greenlaw’s calf was cause for concern as well.

“I mean, it can be. It was the fourth play or one of the first four plays. I know it was their first drive. He felt tightness in the calf, so once that happened, we shut him down. We’ll see if he pulled it or anything,” Shanahan said.

The 49ers entered Sunday’s date at Miami with running back Isaac Guerendo and left tackle Trent Williams ruled out with injury.

San Francisco closes its season with a Dec. 30 date at Detroit before traveling to Arizona on Jan. 5.
