‘This Game Is Not Important’: Jared Goff Vs Josh Allen Matchup Downplayed By Mad Dog Russo ? – VC

Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions are playing the Buffalo Bills this weekend, and with the strong rivalry between the QBs of these teams, the matchup is more like Goff vs. Allen. Not just the rivalries between the quarterbacks, but these teams are also potential contenders for the Super Bowl, further increasing the anticipation for the game.

'This Game Is Not Important': Jared Goff Vs Josh Allen Matchup Downplayed By Mad Dog Russo

While many are excitedly waiting for this weekend NFL clash, one analyst seems to be disinterested in the matchup and is also discouraging others from watching it. NFL analyst Mad Dog Russo recently spoke about this clash on ‘First Take’ and called it unimportant.

“How in the world are they going to make a big deal about this game? Buffalo can’t get the top seed and Detroit has the top seed. So we’re going to make a big deal about the Lions and the Bills. I mean, come on. No, this game is not important. Watch something else on Sunday at 4:30 p.m. EST.” Russo said on First Take.

Despite what Russo says, the matchup is definitely going to be one of a kind and will attract plenty of attention. The Detroit Lions are currently at the top of the NFC North with 12 wins and a single defeat this season. Jared Goff has accumulated 3,265 yards for the Lions this season with 25 touchdowns.

Meanwhile, the Buffalo Bills are reigning in the AFC East table with ten wins and three defeats so far. Most recently, the Bills played the Los Angeles Rams and lost the game with a close score of 44-42. Buffalo’s quarterback, Josh Allen, has managed to cover 3,033 yards in total this year, with 23 touchdowns.

Jared Goff Is Focused On The Trophy And Not Allen Rivalry

While many NFL fans are discussing the scheduled Jared Goff vs Josh Allen matchup this Sunday, the Detroit Lions quarterback seems to be thinking about something else entirely. Goff has played some seriously good football this season, perhaps his best. With his impressive numbers, many analysts are also predicting Goff to be crowned MVP this year.

Despite many things happening around him, Goff seems to have his priorities right. The 30-year-old quarterback wants to “be holding that trophy at the end of the year”. For Goff, that is all that matters.

While Goff has been touted to be a solid MVP candidate, his numbers still need plenty of improvement if he wants to rank better than other MVP candidates. Josh Allen from the Buffalo Bills and Saquon Barkley from the Philadelphia Eagles are also showing immense potential this season, and Goff needs to play way better football from this point to be above them.
